An Evening with Friends is the annual fundraiser held each year at the AGS Annual Scientific Meeting to benefit the FHA Student Researcher Fund.
Proceeds from the evening support students from all disciplines with funding to enable them to attend and participate in the AGS Annual Meeting. At the meeting, students present their research as well as interact with nationally known faculty. The AGS believes that this experience may potentially advance the recruitment of young persons into careers as geriatrics health care providers.

OTHER WAYS TO SUPPORT STUDENTS
Sponsor & Mentor a Student! It's easy, fun, and tax deductible.
The average cost for airfare and one night's hotel for students attending and presenting at the AGS Annual Meeting is $500. Last year, we supported 126 students through contributions to the Student Researcher Fund.
This year - for just $500 - you support and provide important mentoring to a student who is presenting at the meeting! You can choose a specific student, or we can match you with a student attendee, providing contact information and career interests, before the meeting.
If you are interested in sponsoring a student please complete the Sponsor A Student Interest Form. For more information contact Li-Chia Ong at long@americangeriatrics.org.
Make a contribution to the Student Researcher Fund
If you are not able to attend EWF or Sponsor a Student, you can still contribute to the Student Researcher Fund. Any contribution, big or small is very much appreciated and will help fund a student to attend the Annual Meeting. Contributions to the Student Researcher Fund can be made online.
