The AGS Foundation for Health in Aging is sponsoring a photo contest, open to professionals and amateurs alike to bring attention to the many faces of older adults. The purpose of the AGS Foundation for Health in Aging Photo Contest is to capture the character and experiences of older adults, and provide images that challenge the stereotype of older adults.
All photos must be received by June 2, 2008, and must be the original work of the person submitting it.
Contest Rules:
- Photographers must attach a completed entry form to their entry.
- Each photo must include at least one person, age 65 or older.
- All entries must be received by June 2, 2008 and must be the original work of the person submitting it. A person may submit no more than 2 entries.
- Format: Prints must be at least 5" x 7" or digital. Digital entries may be submitted to Joseph Douglas at jdouglas@americangeriatrics.org, but contestants must also send in an entry form to be considered. Non-digital prints should be mailed, in protective packaging, with a completed entry form to be considered.
- Photos will not be returned
- Winning photos will be posted on the AGS Foundation for Health in Aging website.
- The AGS & FHA reserves the right to use winning and non-winning photos in any way related to the publicity or teaching programs of the AGS or the AGS Foundation for Health in Aging for internal and external use at no cost.
- A panel of judges selected by the AGS Foundation for Health in Aging will determine winners.
AWARDS: $500-first place, $200-second place, and $100-third place.
