Home & Community
As they age, some older adults may find that they need more help with their daily lives. To get this help, some changes may need to be made to the home. Or, the older adult may need to consider moving to a new home that can better fit his or her needs. This can happen for a number of reasons, including disability or medical needs.
There are a number of options for older adults, ranging from staying in the home to moving to a facility. This section will cover the various types of care settings:
- Assisted Living
- Community-based care, such as adult day care, day hospitals, and the Program of All-Inclusive Care for the Elderly (PACE)
- Home Care
- Nursing Homes
