HealthinAging.org, AGS’s resource for educating the public, isn’t just for older adults and caregivers—it’s also for AGS members! Recent feedback from AGS members shows that HealthinAging.org is a trusted and valuable resource for educators and media spokespeople. Alicia Arbaje, MD, an AGS member at Johns Hopkins School of Medicine, uses HealthinAging.org to develop talking points prior to media appearances, “I find the Health in Aging website is a valuable resource for quickly locating information relevant to my patients and to the public.
AGS member Anthony Caprio, MD, with Carolinas Healthcare System, says, “as a medical educator, I frequently direct students and resident physicians to HealthinAging.org for resources related to geriatrics.” He adds that HealthinAging.org is a convenient site where you can find information “about important topics like the Choosing Wisely lists and resources to help them understand the appropriate use of medications for older adults.”
