Deep Venous Thrombosis (DVT) is a blood clot, or thrombus, in a major vein that may partially or completely block the flow of blood.
A stroke occurs when the brain's blood supply is cut off. Strokes can cause injury or even "death" to the affected area of the brain. A stroke is best thought of as a "brain attack."
