Since 2005, the New York Junior League SeniorCare Committee has been working closely with the AGS Foundation for Health in Aging to present workshops focusing on care giving for older persons, elder health and nutrition, and growing old gracefully.
With the help of the FHA, the League's SeniorCare Committee uses the Eldercare at Home Presentation Package in presentations to community associations, medical groups, and corporations in New York City. Each 1-hour presentation is given by two trained volunteers using illustrated slides and handouts. The SeniorCare Committee currently consists of 30 volunteers.
