Aging in the Know Eldercare at Home Health in Aging Stories Request a Referral FHA Store

The overwhelming devastation that Hurricane Katrina has wrought in the Gulf affects us all. Certainly, it affects those who live in the region, their loved ones, friends, and patients most profoundly. Those of us buffered from the storm, however, are not untouched. We are touched-we should be touched- by the plight of those who are struggling and suffering in the wake of this disaster. Among the hardest hit are the elderly, as news stories and photos attest.

The American Geriatrics Society Foundation for Health in Aging has assembled the following information to assist the public to learn what they can do to help with the Hurricane Katrina Relief efforts of Hurricane Katrina and how they can prepare themselves to help in future situations.
