Lifestyle changes can reduce the risk of having an aneurysm:

  • Quit smoking or using tobacco products
  • Lose weight if you need to
  • Lower cholesterol and fat in the diet
  • Get screened with an ultrasound, if appropriate for age and gender
Talk with your healthcare provider about the best type and amount of physical activity for you, based on the type of aneurysm you have.
